    1989 325i Junkyard Build #2

I just picked up the other E30 from the yard I got my first one from. I will post pictures in the morning. Tried turning it over. The starter wasnt engaging.

Well literally the worst thing is wrong with this car. Someone forgot to do a timing belt. Pictures up tomorrow after I get the head off.

I thought junk yards weren't allowed to sell cars that want to be driven?

Here's the damage. The timing belt tensioner broke off the block. I guess its okay to run those pistons since they aren't that bad. Just clean up the gashes? I'm going to pull a head and put it on.

What junk yard did you find it in? Smooth out the gashes and run those pistons you should be ok

Have you made a purchase from www.blunttech.com recently?

G&G on 15th and Broadway. They have 2 more E30s there, a 325i project and a 325is/es(Didnt look lose enough) I will be there again tomorrow or Friday to get a head. PM me if you want details.

Also could you point me the right way for properly smoothing out the pistons?
                              Thank you.
