Bought the wrong damned part for my car-- can someone link me to the proper part??

Lost the coolant tank cap to my car. Did a little research, read about the 1.2 bar versus the updated 1.4 bar cap that was a recall fix. Went to eEuroparts, told it I had an '87 325i, ordered the 1.4 bar cap... and *drumroll* it doesn't bloody fit. Very frustrated.

OEM and Genuine parts at the best prices. Expansion Tank Cap guaranteed fit and fast shipping

That link is to the cap I bought. It even say on the page there it will fit an '87 325i.

Here is what my tank looks like:

Very frustrated here especially as I did research, entered what kind of car I have, and paid for expedited shipping, and what I received is useless... someone just take the guesswork out of it for me and show me what I need. :(

    You need the early style...

You still have the original cap on your car. There's two versions of the early style cap. When BMW did the recall, they installed a thermostat behind the head/block and replaced the cap with the 2nd version for free. If you don't want to do all that you can just buy the cap shown above.
