remove the bottom knee panel, then you can push the switch out from the back without damaging anything....

Good job figuring out a fix for this issue. In all my years, I've always heard people prefer the later scissor style window lifts vs the early style. I'm guessing this is one of those reasons....

Usually, it's just a bulb contact issue but your problem seems to be a little different. Hopefully the new relay fixes it but it's still worth cleaning up the bulb contacts as they do develop high resistance...

Yeah I wondered the same since there doesn't appear to be any body damage at all. In fact, the car is super clean with low mileage which is scary. I wonder if it fired off randomly due to a sensor issue...
