M3's came with slightly stiffer/lower springs and low pressure Boge gas shocks. They are now known as Sachs advantage I believe. Anyway, people have been going Eibach/H&R and Bilstein/Koni for decades....

Early 84-85 models did not have the bypass resistor. If the bulb goes out, the car doesn't charge....
