    my 325 e 1986 hates all mankind.

My car, quite possibly the most buggy and retarted amongst this server, decides its broken again.

I crank it, but it doesnt start. BUT! BUT! Randomly, 3 times now, I cranked it and it started for a second then died. Then just wouldnt start again. IT turns, the relays are good, the plugs are firing, the fuel pump in the gas tank works, I recon it does because when I took the hose off it was HIGHLY pressurized. But, probably in the 2nd pump, something happens. The fuel doesnt seem to stay compressed. It barely leaks out of the hose leading to the rail. Is it just definately that bad pump? Cause we replaced it, and uh, it just does the same thing.

*Also changed reference sensors, checked for the flywheel pin thing, all relays fresh, all grounds jiggled, detached, re attached (i think) and wiring harness pristene.*

Please help if ya can. If not, tell me to go bite one.

Well if your not getting fuel pressure then that is a good reason your not running. Work backwards and start with the fuel filter. See if your getting pressure there. Remember you have 2 fuel pumps.

Yeh. I noted about the 2nd one being the fault in my original post, so your theories do seem to "concur" with mine, eeh. I just dont want to fork over a buttload of bucks for a new one, cause we already replace the old one wiht a junk car one.

I'm going to take apart fuel lines tomorrow, see what the deal is. Maybe convert to a 325I fuel system....One pump to rule them all.
