Ive been thinking of selling mine, thats why I asked your budget. Here is the evolution thread on it http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=84555.

      Some photos,

      Run down,
      1991 318is, CA only car
3rd owner, have a inch thick folder of all receipts from when the car was new.
      Just turned 180k
      Factory Alarm
      z3 ssk w/ delrin bushings
      New iS lip
Euro Smilies and rebuilt fogs all with LaminX
      Euro Grills
      Euro plate filler
      H&R Sports w/KYB's
15mm spacers all the way around
      Med. case 4.10 LSD
      Muffler shop catback w/resonator
I will leave the Recaro SE in if I get the right price, otherwise I will throw the mint driver seat back in.

Interior is in great shape, sport seats are immaculate and the dash has zero cracks thanks to a Dashmat the original owner put in. The carpet on the tunnel leading to the rear pass. floor has a stain on it but is clean otherwise.

Exterior is in great shape, paint is glossy even when dirty. There is a small dent on the lower pass. quarter that could easily be removed with paintless dent removal (may have a hook up to have this fixed before its sold)

Recent maintenance within the last year,
      Chain tensioner
Guibo ,CSB, and guide shaft bearing
      Lower pan gasket
      Coil on plug conversion
Water pump & thermostat (removed mech. fan and wired the aux. to run on ign. power)
Fixed all stripped valve cover bolts
Anything else in the above thread that I forgot to mention.
Oil changed every 4k with Castrol Syntec

I bought a newer transmission to install cause the current one was grinding second and feels kinda mushy (even after replacing all the bushings), I changed the out with some Redline and it felt much better so I didnt swap the trans.. The newer trans will be included with the sale and also any stock parts that might be of interest to keep (I have pretty much everything that was replaced).

Looking to get $4300 firm. I can take as many detailed photos as you need to get a good idea of the car.

If you offer my asking price I would entertain bringing it down to Paso Robles, as I have some friends there to hang out with. Let me know.

ps: I am only considering selling it cause my buddy is selling his m42 e36 and Ive wanted it from day one.

IIRC I've seen your car on craigslist. While it certainly looks super clean, I think 4.3k is a bit out of my price range.

I don't have a really specific budget - that all depends on how much work the car needs. I was more open to getting a cheaper car that might need a bit of fixing up over the summer, but now that I have school, college apps, etc. to deal with, I'm looking for a cleaner example.

I'm looking at this one: http://slo.craigslist.org/cto/829342685.html in paso tomorrow. I think her price is a little absurd given the cracked dash and (from pics she sent me) what looks to be pretty severe oxidation on the hood, roof, and trunk. I linked her to like six CL 318is' in california that were all priced under $3k and she said she "would only be willing to sell it for $3.5k" Maybe if I get my mechanic to take a look, I can persuade her to go lower.

this one http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/830351893.html looks nice, but it's so damn far away.

Nope hasn't been on CL, that post was the first public mention of selling it. I just want the car to go to a good home and it seems like you really want one, so you'd probly appreciate it. Its a clean car and I always get complements. I think the lowest I can go is $4k without the Recaro.
