Would someone from the bay area mind taking a look at an e30 for me?

There are two 318is' that I'm looking at in the bay area, one in Sonoma and one in Sunnyvale. Normally I would just check them out myself, but it's not easy to recruit someone to do a 7-9 hour round trip drive with me just to check out a car.

So if anyone from either of these areas might be willing to take a quick look, mostly to confirm that the car runs well and there aren't any leaks, I would greatly appreciate it.

I see them pop up on CL all the time too, but if the price is at all reasonable they inevitably end up selling within hours of being posted. The ones in my area are always overpriced...

Yeah, they sell very quickly. One day I'll find one.

Update: Apparently the one that I thought was in San Rafael is actually in Sonoma.

I'm getting really tired of searching. it's been over a year now.

I'd really appreciate it if somoene in sonoma could take a look for me...

It took me over a year to find my car but they do pop up quite frequently in the bayarea. I even lost out on a couple clean E30's to some fellow boardies by being the second person to call/email the seller. Bastards! jk

IMO if the car is still up on craigslist for more than a week then its prolly not worth it. Clean E30s are gone literally hours after the seller posted it up.

                    GL with your hunt!

I'm looking specifically for a 318i or 318is, but would consider other e30s in my area. I have yet to drive an m20 so I don't think I'd be willing to travel far for one.

Snagging a good deal should be your first priority. Your other can can be parked somewhere for a day or two.

Are you looking for a project or a clean working car off the bat?
