the whole point of the letting them know about the lightweight flywheel or not is to raise the idle to around 900 in order to cut down on driveline noise while at idle with your car in neutral, it also will help you keep it from stalling. its a preference thing. personally i run the LTW option when I had the stock flywheel.
We have made 189whp on an honestly stock (airbox to muffler) M50TU. That took about two hours of dyno tuning. That is an extreme case, but the gains with our chips are real.
