Well look at it this way, you have adjustability and if you buy some GC springs for the rear, you have a fairly low setup for under $550. With the GC rear springs you'll be able to slam with how far the fronts adjust.

For everyone that "doesn't want to section or weld" but wants to be slammed, get a reality check, it doesn't work that way. These go by and far too low for a DD in the fronts and the rears just need a $79.00 spring to really be slammed.

This is a streetable, coil over kit for under $400. Yeah, it's not "top of the line" but you get a damn good kit for the money.

I can post a better pic when I get back to new mexico this afternoon. But here is more of a side profile.

        This is rear all
The way down and stock suspension on the front.
And one of mechanic buddy's told me it takes around 2k miles for suspension to fully settle fwiw

I agree, relatively speaking; if you want to "slam" your car spend alot more on a kit. people also don't realize-"DD." what it means is you aren't killing your pocket and your car and your body..lol. Everything wears out that much faster when you radically modify your suspension. the costs start to rise.
I think I am going this route for my dd vert. I don't need to drag shit and leave bits and pieces of my car around town. :-) 1/2 in the front and 1/2 in the rear for me is plenty of drop. Fill the space? get bigger rims.

Pics are looking good for DD status. Seriously considering throwing down the cash for a kit. A quick question, as I'm new to the whole lowering your car thing. Would you be able to add say GC's Adjustable Camber plates to these? Or what would be an option to address the geometry changes from this kit?

No, not the regular camber plates.

Ground Control DOES have a "Touring" Camber Plate which works for this kit. It has slightly less adjustment, but, works with how the front springs on this kit are shaped.

Thanks, I did see that they had released "Touring" plates, I hadn't really read into their application range.

So i started the install on the fronts today. There were a couple ways to do it but i decided to do it the most drastic and permanent way. First thing i did was remove the lower spring perch from the factory strut tube. You do not need to do this but i knew i would never put normal springs on this car again so it did not matter. The easiest way to remove it would be to put the entire assembly in a lathe and cut it off. I did not have access to one so i just used a plasma cutter and a angle grinder. A normal cut off wheel would work but takes forever. Next step was to modify the coilover perch. You could again put it in a lathe and bore out the center but that was not an option for me so i just put it in a chop saw and ground down the sharp corners. I placed it on the factory welds and made two passes with the welder. This essentially allows me to run any shock and provided the potential of an addition 1" drop in the front. Again you can get the same effect by either leaving on the perch or just running the spring only.

Yup. I'll probably have to remove the rear perch and pads to make it sit right. I would not drive it with it wound all the way down on these springs but this way i'm already sitting pretty for some GC springs if i decide to track it on occasion.
