            Excuse me, but why would I want this? I get that it shows voltage in the car, but other than seeing if my battery is going to die from playing my stereo with the car off, I can't think of the importance.

                When your alternator dies, you would see a big drop in voltage and hopefully be able to get to a safe place before the battery is sucked dry leaving you stranded.

                    This happened to me when I first got the car, alternator went and got stranded. Plus all my other vehicles I drive have them installed.
