Not selling them. Just made a set many, many years ago. Keep it simple and it'll work forever. Or spend big $ on an e30 M3 suspension.

People have sleeved the e30 4lug struts forever. What I dont know is if they replace the dust cap with a larger ring to support the inner bearing race half? OD on the bearing race support is 43mm. Inner diameter on e30 bearings is 30mm. Inner diameter on M3/E28 bearings is 36mm. The radius on the inner bearing race is 2.5mm.

If you add that up you realise you only have 1mm on each side of the bearing supporting it from pushing in toward the strut! Not enough to make me comfortable!

Just curious how people deal with this or if they just dont care.

Any pictures of the setup you did Lee?

Even if you had 0.5mm all around. that would be enough of a step to keep the bearing from "sliding" toward the strut. And it is a very precise job. Spindle will be frozen to shrink. Sleeve will be heated to expand. You'll need a good machinist. And nop. No picture.

Sounds good! I much prefer that option anyway :) Then I get the nice adjustable roll center rear suspension thrown in with it!

onnistuuko jaon muutos vaihtatamalla pyörännavat esim e28sta? vai miten porukka on tehnyt muutoksen?

The three holes on the e28 strut don't align perfectly with the e30 m3 holes. One of the e28 holes is offset. Also e28 has M10 bolts vs M8 but that could be resolved with a little machining.

I did the e28 bearings with a sleeved spindle. Have a thread just a few down from this one. Shows pictures of my sleeve and I did create a new step for the 5 series dust shield.
