So broke down and ordered Franks M60 swap manual. I'm pretty impressed with both his build and his manual.
Not being one to give in an ask for directions. I got it more for the fact that when it comes to electrical stuff, i'm all thumbs. Even installing a stereo is tough for me.
After reading his manual word for word and even contacting him about the starter harness i now feel confident i wont burn down my swap.
I like his manual so much that i even went so far as to plastic sheet and bind it, all 157 pages. :nice:
Now for the criticisms on it. "By no means am i saying its bad or i could do better. Cause i cant and its not... "
I found on a few areas its like mounting locations it lacked info on all options. Also it never mentions the need or amount of fab work needed to the vert battery tray to mount the motor. Their was a few other little things. But all in all its pretty perfect.
I also understand it was based off of his own build and "I or we" can't expect him/it to include every option out there.
Good Job Frank.
Now today at work i built a rear block off plate for my intake manifold. I will be adding vacuum ports later as i get everything sorted out.
I'm thinking of also mounting my idle control valve on the back plate to cleanup the throttle body area. I'll also be blocking off the front port. My crank case ventelation will be handled by a "stock car" style catch can/breather with a return line and low pressure valve.
I also figured out my belt setup. I'm running a 40.5" belt spinning just my water pump and alternator, as well as using to two pulleys. One solid one tension. "I will post pic's later.

What's the reason for the block off plate? What did you do with the internal pipe that connects to the oem piece inside the intake manifold?Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

Aww. Me thinks the same thing till i realized that all 3 of my intake manifolds were different.
So i pulled them apart to see how they work.
My early model b30 manifolds with velocity stacks "has no inner tube stuff" check the 2nd pic its the b30 stock back plate with no application for the inner tube stuff.
Now for my other too 97 b40, and my 98 b44
Manifold appear to be the same inside.
Front
Back
Now as to why am i doing this. 3 reasons, shotty and pointless in all regards except cause i can.. :-P
1. Make more room for the swap at the firewall.
2. Cause i ditched all the smog crap.
3. Adds performance. Oil vapor in your burn tend to give a lean burn.
Ok take point in this picture. My motor is currently in the forward position till i finish modifying my manifold and water cross over tube.
Plus i've noticed all the v8 boys seem to have an issue with the water tube so i'm trying to think out side the box and ditch the bs problem of the water hoses. And seeing that i'm a hell of a bad ass welder / fab guy i will be modding all this $hit so i don't have any issues with this crap...lol

How are you adjusting the movement again?Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

With most mounts found on the market you have the options of two holes.
So you have a total of 4 options that i see before your building your own mounts.
You have the two options of said mounts. Then if you swap your rubber or poly mounts, left to right and right to left you now have two more placement options.
So my setup right now is: rubber mount swaped so pins are to the rear, and motor mounts to the rear holehttps://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar...re-irs.356333/
