    Need a US check panel?

    I have seven of them.

Seven US Check Panels (sold separately):
    a. Check Panel 1 - Bosch unit, good shape, has an O2 sensor warning light (which I've never seen before.) $25.

    b. Check Panel 2 - VDO unit, great shape (almost scratch-free.) $25.

    c. Check Panel 3 - VDO unit, a few light scratches. $20.

    d. Check Panel 4 - Bosch unit, great shape with one noticeable scratch. $20.

    e. Check Panel 5 - Bosch unit, great shape with one spot of hot glue remains (~1 cm spot). $20.

    f. Check Panel 6 - Hella unit with white backing, quite a few scratches on face of unit. $10.

    g. Check Panel 7 - Unknown unit, in MINT shape (no scratches at all), unit does not have backing. $10.

Photos for all check panels located here, sorted on left side of page.

    Let me know,
    - Trey

      Bump!

Wow - I had no idea that there were so many different check panels. And they are all interchangeable correct?

If they are interchangeable, does additional wiring need to be done for the o2 sensor? If not, I'm interested.

I have an SRS version too, so that's another version that is out there.

No idea about the oxygen sensor deal. I pulled that one out of an E28 and didn't notice any extra wiring, so my guess would be there's no wiring difference.

Is there a wiring difference with the SRS check panels and the normal ones?

From what I've seen only 5 series had the O2 sensor showing. All check panels have slots for "SRS", "O2 Sensor" and "Overheat" on them but they are obscured by the black paint.

I'm thinking it is either the addition of a wire, or they all run through the same wires to the ECU which controls it? Not sure. If you don't have an SRS airbag model then i can't imagine your car will "tell" the panel anything. Same with O2 sensor. It'll just never light up. No biggie.

Hmm, thanks for the info. Not sure if I mentioned it or not, but the O2 sensor check panel was pulled from an E28, so I guess that explains it.

So, NOMAD, do you think there is any wiring differences between a non-O2 and an O2 sensor panel? If the O2 sensor malfunctions on an E30, would the panel indicate it?

                        it'd be cool though.
