I'll check that link after this .......
I'm not majorly concerned about the rise quaility but prefer NOT to shack my teeth out.... Ride height height IS one think I do care about. I DONT want it slammed right down as in NE the roads are not that great. I would love a fully adjustable kit but would rather stretch funds right now and go i bit more basic right now.
I guess the biggest choice is trying to pick a spring brand/rate
DUH, I knew that. I dont know why I asked. Although I havent seen it on level ground. I dont think I wanna go that low.
I wonder how IE's stage III's would be?? Everyone in hardtops seem to like the spring rate's.
I also wonder IF the light weight M42 will play a factor in sitting proper. I dont want the ass to sag down ;)
I did H&R sports, Bilstien shocks. I just used the regular H&R sport springs, not the convertible specific springs. Not sure if that makes a difference.
Mine lowered around 2". Ride quality is great when compared with blown shocks, still very daily drivable. But very, very fun in the turns.

Well I'm really leaning towards Koni SA for shocks /struts. Also considering going w/ GC set up now as I know it more $$ but after breaking it down (camber plates, etc) the price aint dat bad...............
I went to Koni's website and they have a listing for Cabby's only, but GC doesnt. Also it seems that ALL the GC koni's have external adjustability but NO other do
The Konis are externally adjustable on the front no matter where you get them. The rears are different - have to be adjusted from the bottom. GC sells some that are top adjustable, but you'll need a special rear shock mount.
I'd call Ground Control and tell them that you want a set for a vert. See what rates they recommend.

Yeah I was thinkin bout givin them a call. It seems like IF I can get a hold of the right person there, they SHOULD be able to crunch some numbers, etc and give me the proper spring rate etc.
The biggest thing that has me leanin towards the GC set up is the ability to to adjust the ride height:pimp:
The Cab has a slightly bigger front bar already. You may want to consider not going stiffer on the springs due to the lack of stiffness in the Cab. BMW makes a good convertible but they are all winners in the twist contest.

Yeah, ya are a bit right they do love to twist:roll: BUT I hope to lessen that with better suspension, new mounts everywhere, top strut bar etc to hope tighten er' up
Thanks, Allthough I DONT really wanna use it year round ;) She aint comin out again now till probly mid late spring
OK well if the cabby will always be a non-winter car and you're not scared of crappy NE roads even in the warm, dry weather than go for IE Stage 3 or H&R Sport or Race. That'll be cheaper than GC, which you don't seem to need.
