BMW glas 3000 v8 worth anything?

I recently stumbled upon a interesting looking car in a lot. After some research, it turned out to be a late 60's BMW/glas 3000 v8. The car is in bad shape (lots and lots of rust) but I was wondering if there was a market or if this car was sought after or just a mistake by BMW?

That steering wheel seems cool.. wood?

Would be worthy of a refinish?

That would be worth restoring just for the rare and interesting factor. IDK if it is actually worth anything. Plop an S38 into her and it would be a really interesting car.

Yeah I'm guessing that totally kills the value and trying to find an engine for a car that was Only production for like 3 years, on the other side of the world, 50 years ago is probably going to be impossible.

Hey man! I've been good, got another e30 now lol. How's the pup doing? And I agree that it's ugly as sin but if it's worth a bit of $$$ then it might look a little prettier lol

Well....it could also be a really cool swap candidate. M/S62 perhaps?

Interesting find. Too bad it's an automatic, though. I enjoyed when they called the Glas GT "elegant" in that article. Hah.

Looking at that elegant cluster, I'd say intact like that could get someone restoring one of these happy. Is there a glasr3v.com?

Since I've got you'a guys attention. I also found these in the same lot. They were on a e24. Worth anything or just run of the mill?

I think the front end is pretty sweet looking. Round headlamps would have been smexier imo but the little oblong rectangular center grill is nice. I agree the steering wheel is sweet.

Unless you can make things out of sheetmetal yourself,

                              run away.

If you can do the work and think it's cool, well, why not?
