Part number request: E30 mirror delete cover

Been looking for this part for ages, and after a lot of searching on RealOEM and BMWFans I cannot find it!

For those that don't know what I'm talking about:

I've only seen it on early models obviously, and these are the only pictures that I can recall off the top of my head, not sure if it is an Alpina only part...

...so does anyone have a lead on them?! I would greatly appreciate it!

I'll go ahead and ask "why"?

I think the car looks much better with both mirrors. More uniform.

          As for why:

I dunno, the look of no mirrors is different with the E30, hasn't been done, and my convex rear view mirror gives me a huge view, so much so my side mirrors aren't really in too much use. And it looks neat, its that clean look I'm going for, you know...

I think it'll make the car look HORRID. Nothing like side mirror delete to make the car look NARROWER than it already is :D

On a side note, those shouldn't be so hard to fabricate, if you really want some. They're pretty much flat black triangles made of plastic.

To each his own. I wouldn't go so far as to fabricate them, thats too much effort for a style that I may only rock for a small amount of time.

why not go with some CF DTM mirrors? they're so tiny they're basically worthless, but people will still think you are cool. :p

Um lets state the fucking obvious.

Delete cover = most likely pretty cheap.
                    DTM Gruppe A non-vented mirrors: $300-$350.

I want non-vented mirrors, but can't justify that for little mirrors.

That's what I thought too, but I believe the tweeter blanks are #5 in the diagram, because there is a left and a right side for #5. There is only a right side for the mirror delete (#3), cause there was never an option to delete the left side mirror.

But hey, I could be wrong.

What about right hand drive? Then the delete would be on the other side...but looking at that diagram again, you may be correct...

For $20 versus $300-350, I can find out.

                        EDIT:

This is a right hand drive car. Note that part 3 is now the left side. That has to be it. Thank you so much dude! I am picking up both sides as we speak. Don't worry, its not permanent.

Keep us updated on this. Cause i never use that mirror anyway. It may look strange from head on but i like the way it looks from the side, like in picture B&W pictures of the Alpina.

One change you're sure to notice when you remove the side mirrors is the reduction of wind-noise at speed. Those mirrors aren't small lol.

I agree that it would be different, but I can never imagine trying it myself because I rely heavily on both my side mirrors while driving. The rear alone just doesn't cut it for me. Maybe cuz it's a touring?

Do yourself a favor and get this mirror:

Broadway convex 270mm mirror with a black surround. It clips around your existing mirror, and I have no blind spots, and can see whats directly to my left or right doors through this mirror alone. Its one of the best pieces I've picked up and its so cheap, and used an adhesive remover to get rid of the logo, looks completely stock. Do it.
