Blacky burned up. On to project Quicksilver

As y'all know my '87 eta coupe had a fuel line give out and go up in flames:

Well the shop's insurance cut me a check for it ($3400) and I picked this up from a local guy on Craigslist. It is also an '87 but with an i motor. I told myself not to even look at old german cars and just get a corolla to beat on...you see how well that worked out for me.

As I mentioned earlier, it is in need of some love, and the more I dive in the deeper the hole gets! For instance, I was told it needed a new headlight switch. Okay, no biggy. I go to replace it with another and find that the white clip and a few of the wires on it are completely toasted. Now I gotta start tracing wires and replace that part of the wiring harness. So here are a few pics I snapped before getting to work on it.

              Welcome to r3v Apex! Lol

Apex is lucky enough to be taking care of quicksilver for me and continuing on with some work while I play in Afghanistan for a while.

I'll give it a quick wash and snap a few new pics.
