in case the CL ad dies....
i reuphosted the pics and info

    VINTAGE WHEELS BY PONTIAC
    15X8 pattern 5X120

i think they would look sweet on e30 with 5lug. but no idea how they fit with centerbore or offset. but the design of the wheel with the lip makes me think it would look period correct with e30s. who agrees?

can't say I would like it, plus it is a small 15" wheel.

Small wheels have LOTS of advantages over big wheels. The biggest being less likely to be out of round and or cracked due to impacts with pot holes and other street imperfections. It took me all of 2.5 weeks to get rid of my very rare Ronal SX wheels after I found I couldn't put a big enough tire on them with out them rubbing, and after I found a crack on one of them. They were cool, very light, and very much worthless to me. I went back to a set of the stock 15" wheels and everything was better as far as handling and driving. I'd be tempted to run a set of these wheels as race wheels. I bet they would look good.

If all you care about is looks, go ahead and run big heavy wheels that dent and crack easily. Have fun replacing the parts. I'll keep some sidewall, and round wheels.

I'm with you. Stock tire sizes are pretty cheap so it's nice and easy to pick up tires wherever. I had an oddball size on my Dakota and it was a pain to have to order them off the web every time. I don't feel bad burning off cheap 14" tires.

Handling is better with more sidewall? I can agree about the lack of wheel protection but bigger wheels allow for bigger brakes and I've always felt more in control with 16" vs 14". Yes, I do know 16's are not that big.

don't you all kill me for saying 15" wheels are small!!!!!!!
I am running 15" weaves on my daily, I am just saying it seems like alot of work to swap to a 5lug and 15" wheels won't fit on E36M3 stuff. I am going with 16" vette wheels for next year- I personally think it looks a bit nicer when you have 16/17s on an e30.
I've never had one of those T/A wheels in my hand, but I'm willing to bet they weigh a TON!

and BTW, my BBS Rs's aren't very heavy or dent/bend that easily-- and still look nice to me in 17" on my M.
