Wert MotorSport - Heated Seat Kit

    E30 Heated Seat Kit

This is a project I have been working on to help all you guys out
there keep your bums warm. Only a handful of E30s came fitted
with the heated seat option. Now, twenty some-odd years later,
sourcing a working OEM unit can be quite a hassle. Things get old
and rot out. The heating pads are not meant to last forever and
    switches begin to go.

My goal is to provide a affordable alternative to the OEM Option.
I have put a lot of thought into product to make sure it will last long
and work efficiently. Below is some information regarding what this
    kit will include.
    Basic Information
I had been toying around with the idea of making heated seat retrofit
kits using modern heated seat pads. I have a supplier for the pads already and am
set on a design. The pads used are from a US company that makes
carbon fiber heating pads for car seats and other applications. They
heat up fast and stay at a comfortable level.

These pads can be used in any seat you like but i am open to custom
set ups for optimal heating for different sized seats and possible rear
pads for sedans. I can use different size pads for recaros and other
sport seat types and comfort seats.
    OEM Switch

    Aftermarket Switch

    Features:
-Electronic thermostat (built into each pad) regulates the electricity / temperature
circulating within the carbon fiber seat heating pad. This system regulates the flow of
power and maintains a narrower temperature range whether in a high or low setting.
Example: The high setting will have a constant range between 120°F to 125°F. The low
setting ranges between 110°F to 115°F. These respective temperatures are maintained
    at these respective levels.

    Kits:
    - 2 Seat Kit (with Aftermarket Switches)
    - 2 Seat Kit (with New OEM Switches)
    - 2 Seat Kit (for use with your own OEM Switches)

    Each Kit Includes:
    - (4) Carbon Fiber Heat Pads
    - (1) Custom Wiring Harness
    - (2) Switches
    - (2) Dual temperature control module
    - (1) Installation Instructions

I do not have any kits currently for sale.
The wait time will about 4 weeks
    to have them finished

Those seats can use the same kit for sport and vinyl seats. It requires you to place the pads under the fabric. Im not sure how easy that would be on those seats.

I bought OE heating elements to fit into the slots between the leather and the lining. Heating is not so great but it does the job this winter. The heating elements you offer may have to fit between the padding and the lining for the sport seats with straight stitches like the one I have, though it probably fit better with verts, comfort, and the m3 seats.

A few orders are already trickling in. Thanks for all the support guys. These are getting more attention then I originally anticipated.

I saw this problem fairly early in the process of designing this kit. These new pads for the coupe are set warmer slightly then the OE pads and can be placed underneath the thin foam pad on the coupe sport seats with the same effect. Although it might be slightly less warm then the Comfort/Convertible/M3 sport seats.

Thank you for pointing this out i forget to mention it in the post.

Why is price on the kit with no switch more expensive than the one with aftermarket switch?

                        Great idea!
I'll be ordering a set once my swap is done.

because it includes a different harness to be able to be used with the OEM Switches.
