    WTT feeler: 1991 318is M50 swap AWII clean for E36 M3

Life kinda took a turn on me so I'm entertaining offers for this. I only want an E36 M3.

1991 Alpine white 318is with an M50NV swap. Swap was done well.
    New shit:
    • Brand new OEM clutch zero miles (did it yesterday)
    • Brand new OEM Slave
    • Brand new OEM CSB
    • Ground Control coilovers 500/600 2000 miles
    • Cosmo Camber Plates 2000 miles
    • New oil pan gasket
    • New fluid changes all around except diff
    • 95% life on the front Yokohama S-Drives..85% life on the rear ones
    • New audio system all around (sounds incredible)
    • New Fuel filter

It is a 130000 mile M50. Bilsteins all around. New bushings on the rear.

Full black sport interior, it is relatively clean and the seats are pretty nice.
The car has a decent amount of maintenance receipts as well as the original service booklet.

It is RUST FREE (except for the patch on the door). Even the rear subframe "T" looks pretty good, and it is the original. The paint is very nice on this car. 196xxx on the clock, working odometer.

    Before and After.

Will only trade for an E36 M3...two door, don't care what color..manual.

Why would you want an e36? Even if it was an m3?

but if you must know the truth it is because i am in a tough spot here. having an old car like an e30 gives me the incentive to continue throwing money at it, because making old shit perfect makes me extremely happy but It is draining my wallet and I am now paying for school out of pocket...I could care less about an E36 M3, if something doesn't work it's not going to bother me as much as it would on a car I am more passionate about..but I don't want a boring car so thats why it must be an E36 M3.

I know that sounds dumb and stupid but I am mostly pretty sad right now cause I've hit a hard spot in my financial education standpoint and am probably going to regret posting this within 72 hours.

Wow you really think you're gonna save money going to an e36m3?
I don't see how an e36 would be any less expensive to own than your 24v e30. I just see an ugly car with more things to break.
If you're tight on money just stop buying shit for your e30 that you don't need.

I made the switch from a 100% swapped 310-320whp subaru GC into a relatively stock 04 wrx to keep me from throwing money into an older, more enthusiast oriented car. When I comapred the numbers, I had thrown considerably more at the wrx than the GC with things like maintenance and lets be honest...things it didn't need but wanted. I guarantee the same will happen when you get your hand's on an M car....it's what we suffer from, and buying something that responds to modificiation even better is not going to help your wallet. An m5x vs s5x is the difference between awesome DD and awesome car all around, I'd stick with what you got.

I was in the same position as you, and then I realized, I was only buying a 332is, and not an m3 =/

I usually wouldn't post anything in a for sale thread unless I want the vehicle, but since this is a "feeler" I feel obligated.

E36 isn't going to solve any of your problems. I hope you genuinely do not think that switching from a 20 year old car to a 15 year old car is going to help you save any kind of money.. especially an E36 M. You'd be better off buying a well-maintained old Ford Crown Vic or something if "saving money" is your biggest gripe about owning an e30.

I understand your frustration with the maintenance on the e30's, but realistically they are very very soft on the wallet as long as you have some self-control.. especially M50's. We come on these forums and start seeing other mods and that's why we get out of control. Not every e30 needs to be slammed on coil's with BBS wheels, chip tunes and crack free dash's.

Seriously. Take this down and enjoy your car. It gets you from A to B, and if it puts a smile on your face every now and then, then you've got a good car.
