I did what you are thinking of doing, and I recommend you re think. The first time you drive down the street and realize you don't have the E30 swag, it will be like going to the club without $$$$$. It sucks. My $0.02.

E36 M3's are good cars.. Handle extremly well, fast, and are not ugly in my opinion. Not to mention: I was on the way home from Oregon (To Seattle) with my dad in his M3. Averaged 70 MPH, with 28 MPG. Great cars, truly are. Good luck finding one.

Gotta agree with Munich Man here. I own both a 95 M3 and a 92 325ic. I have owned my E36 and my previous E36 M for the past 8 years and have loved owning them.

I bought my 325ic as a dd and find myself addicted to it. It is stripped for paint, Mtech II, M50, 5 speed swap, and custom interior by Kevin. I have to say that if I wasn't established and have a great job in the Navy as well as a very successful wife there is no way I could throw the amount of money at both of them as I do. I love them both and don't regret either one.

Do what you need to do. Your young and can build another one any time you want.

I'm old (42) with a wife and two kids and still love my dropped custom BMW's.

Grab an M3 and never let go!!! You will bring an E30 back to your home when the time is right.

              Thanks guys

I truly believe that the car is worth $6k. Why?
New respray, no accidents, rust free car that was in the south for a bit of its life but garaged up here in the North. Maintaince records since its inception, got the service booklet and all. Well done swap with ALL the big name maintaince items up to date, new clutch, fluid, TOB, fuel filter, sensors, gaskets, etc I know EVERYTHING there is no know about the car. Interior is mint and never fucked around with minus two minor cracks on the dash. New bushings in the rear, Brembos on all four corners with mintex pads you can stop on a dime, GC coilovers with camber plates, full exhaust with 50 state legal cat, peerless plate, new tires, etc. I can have a bit more comprehensive list, but the fact is, I searched for a while for a shell this clean, and I know E30 owners will go their way, if they want a clean car, to pay $6k for an example like this.

I don't see how an e36 would be any less expensive to own than your 24v e30. I just see an ugly car with more things to break.
If you're tight on money just stop buying shit for your e30 that you don't need.
+1 and probably 1000 others who havent gotten around to hitting those buttons on their keyboard.

I'm in philly and I am looking to purchase a car like this or swap my s52 at VAC into a E30. If your willing to sell outright let me know. I have a track E36 M3 but you won't want that to drive haha.
