Ball joint spinning on removal of control arm

I'm trying to remove my control arm and the ball joint nut just keeps spinning. I've tried using a shitty impact gun to no avail and I tried jacking under the ball joint to put pressure on the joint in hopes it would stop spinning but that hasn't worked either. My next thought was to try and get a vice grip around the threaded part inside the ball joint but with all the grease not sure if that would work either. Any other suggestions? Thanks

penetrating lube. and jack it up some more and make sure the edge of the jack is exactly in the middle of the ball joint.

I put the floor jack underneath to add pressure on the joint, used penetrating oil and then used an impact wrench. It took a few tries, but that worked for me. Don't forget to clean the threads really well before reinstalling with a new nut.

vice grips or channel locks around the boot portion and rail it with a impact if no avail, torch the upper bolt/stud and it should decide to come off.
