I don't have a PNP near me so I had to use the old fishbowl in the attic.

Now I don't even have to use the dipstick. I can just look under the car.

I cracked my pan very slightly (automatic car wash fail) Leaked alot more not running then it did running.

Theres also the difference in where you cracked it/ how big.

Good thing m42 pans are cheap and easy to change(in my case).

Dang man.. that really sucks.. The only thing holding me back from going MOARLOW is the fact I dont know how to mount a Skid Plate... One day ill finally man up and do it lol

I've seen how low the oil pans on swap cars are though.. OMG; just a 1" drop only gives you like 3-4" of clearence.. If that

BTW,
Are those 17' e38 Style 5s?

ehhh m20 oil pans aint too shabby.
back when my e30 was running i accidentally jumped some train tracks dukes of hazard style, everyone in the car hit there head on the roof and we bottomed out really bad. i came to a stop super fast because ive seen too many broke my oil pan threads,
looked underneath and too my amazement it was still all there.

but i got lucky haha.

there is some truth to the statement. when in a pressured vacuum area like a an oil pan gravity doesnt have the same effect so oil stays in the pan. it may leak some but it mostly stays in the pan. When u turn the motor off it alll comes flowin out like a bad time of the month

i ran a race skids plate, while it's not held onto sturdy frame rails it does it's job, very well to say the least. it saved my motor MANY MANY times, i would recommend them to anyone.
