    Hokay, 'nother question.

    Maybe a couple...

If this were done to an ETA, would you need anything more than the crank position sensor? Would it be wise to add the entire "i" harness, or could you rock the ETA wiring?

Is the ETA ECU the same size/pin configuration?

    Thanks, man.

    Great job, BTW.

    Luke

Luke you still would need an I toothed main pulley, and sensor. But I could wire it so you could just plug the I sensor into the eta harness. No the eta ecu uses a different 2-row plug then the 3-row 325i plug. I haven't checked yet if the megasquirt would fit in a 325e ecu or not(I've got one laying around so I'll look).

how much if i just want you to make me the harness? I'll send you the case for you to gut and solder. Since youre doing it assembly line fashion, it would be best that you hook it up for me. I have all the rest.

asside from the hardware, can you provide the bits of code or entire flash ... i assume this will accomodate my stock cluster?

$150 if you are wanting me to mount the board in the case etc... Ya I could dump the code into the board and your stock cluster should work fine.

could you get me dimensions of your ecu case? I just finished putting together the pin chart for the 318is ecu plug and it's a definite possibility to setup. Note I don't have a base line file for any m42 engines so you'd be on your own.

Well, here is the deal. My buddy Ryan (E30Idea) wants to go MS. His goal is a turbo. I have a complete "i" harness (early) plus crank, trigger, whatever. I think it would be best if he went full "i" wiring, added an "i" head, intake, etc and turbo'd. He needs to go step at a time, so we might do "i" intake, TB, crank, sensor, injectors, etc...basically, an M20B27 motor in block and head only, then build a motor to slip under that.

Thanks for answering all of my dumbass question so quickly.

Overall including the cable connection part it is 7.25 inches wide and 5.75 inches deep...If you are just wondering about the box itself it is approx. 6.5 wide and 4.75 deep.

                              M42 ecu box dimensions.

Ok based on those dimensions the MS board will fit inside, how tall is the ecu case?
