yes, they did play above and beyond anything they should have. And they got lucky to win against a powerhouse like Michigan. The fact they played about and beyond anything they ever should have, like you said, means they got lucky. And it was dominating, it was a lucky ass blocked kick. 42-10 would be dominated.

Dominated by 2 fucking points. yes, real domination. And who are we, you play football for Appalachian state? Because I find that hard to believe. Also find it hard to believe you pulled for those bums before their one glorious moment in their pathetic existance in college football. Sit back down, and enjoy 2-A football.
are you fucking kidding me? I've been an ASU fan since I was 8 years old, and I fucking go here douchebag. Pathetic existence? HA! Two national titles back to back tool. If you watched the game at all, you would know that App beasted Michigan, led for almost the entire game. You need to get over your sorry ass and realize when a team got beat. Read ANY of the recaps from the game, this was not a fluke. App simply came in, played their style of game (if you knew anything about us, you would know that blocking field goals is a commonplace for the black and gold) and handed Michigan their asses. Oh yeah, and that $400,000 they gave our school to come play them was a nice side present.-1992 325i -

1-AA championships dont fucking count son. Its like asking who was the champion of the NBADL last year? Who cares, it doesnt count. And I read the yahoo column even. Saying that app state set the pace, controlled the whole first half. Then you saw it slip away, when michigan took the lead again (they wouldnt haven taken the lead again if dominated). Then App state came back, then Michigan came bac kwith the chance to win the game. But the kick was blocked. Getting your game winning kick b locked is hardly being dominated.
Either way it was a loss, and it fucking sucks. Fortunately its in week 1 though. I hope App state goes on to win what they call "Another championship". So it doesnt Look SO bad when the voters are voting for which 1 loss team gets into the title game this year.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head offComment

see, that's the problem. I've been dealing with people like you for years, that claim " I-AA football doesn't count" One would think that with App beating Michigan yesterday, you would finally realize that App can compete with anyone in the nation. proving it yesterday. Now, if ASU was actually in the Big 10, would we win all our games? probably not, but I really think that with the extra funding and 22 more scholarship players, we would still be extremely competitive. Why try to play the FCS (formerly I-AA) down? Obviously we aren't as inferior as you think.-1992 325i -

I'm no Michigan fan, I think for the most part they're a bunch of arrogant assholes but I feel pretty confident saying that if that game was played 20 more times Michigan would win every time. The fact is they showed up thinking they would easily blow out App. State and were knocked on their heels when ASU came out with the intensity they did. Did App State earn they win? yes. Did Michigan deserve to lose? yes. But you are acting like Appalachian State is a better team and that's simply ridiculous they just took advantage of luck and circumstances. Still, kudos for coming out and taking the Wolverines down a peg.
EDIT: What I'm saying is it's cool that they won but don't make more of it than it is.

Here, I'll correct my typo, and rearrange some punctuation if its too difficult to understand....
"The fact they played ABOVE and beyond anything they ever should have (like you said), means they got lucky."
And I'll explain that part even. App state played their best possible football. Michigan played their worst possible football. So App state is lucky the circumstances are what they were.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head offComment

Michigan: Football, hockey, baseball, hopefully basketball again.
Ohio State: Football and basketball
Wisconsin: Football and basketball
Illinois: basketball (no football to be heard of)
Michigan State: Football and Basketball
Purdue, Penn State, Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern (academics), and Indiana... They all have either football or basketball history.
One lucky win doesnt mean you have even the right to be in the conversation of being in the Big 10. App State gave their A game, Big blue gave a D game. Michigan beats quality opponents all year long, with a few cupcakes. All app state plays all year long are cupcakes, except in this instance. And this instance was just a money grab, where they happened to win.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head offComment

Jflip, just a simple question- Have you ever played a down of football in your life? From your comments I personally beleive you have not. There is very little luck involved in this game. You say that two blocked kicks is nothing? Look over the results of games in which a kick is blocked, the blocking team wins almost 90% of the time. Special teams is 1/3 of the game and trust me you only have to win 2/3 of the game to come out on top. In this case, it can be said that App State won 3/3 of this game and in my opinion did so over a power house team. Was this luck? Hell no, this was a smash mouth team that wasn't intimated and played their balls off. Ask anyone who truely understands the game, App. State rightfully won this game, no luck involved.Comment
