    New shoes are on Nina

Crappy weather but it held up long enough for me to get the lawn done(honey do list...ones that are married will know) and then get to mounting the wheels.

Nunz came by to help and brought an actual camera so on with the pics...

Since the wheels were off, we first cleaned the wells really good.

Put some anti seize lube for good measure...

Got all 4 on before the down pour started... I know it will settle a little bit more, but very happy with the stance.

Took it for a quick drive. Extremely happy with the wheel/tire/suspension combination. Feels like a completely different car. I can feel the road but it not too harsh. Hope to take it out to test the limits later this week.

Hopefully tomorrow I will get the rear bumper on.:loco:

you should really get a wind deflector for it when you have the opportunity, it really makes a huge difference.. Drove in 44 deg weather with the gf (with heated seats on, heater on and net in place) and my girlfriend didn't even mind!
          I love mine!!!

          Awesome progress!!

thanks Julien, your cars always serve as insperation.

I have been looking for a wind deflector, found one on eBay but the seller changed their mind after we made a deal

I may have breakdown and get a new one... If anyone has one please let me know!

                  Rear bumper day!

So this morning I went for the rear...

Thanks to David for his write up. It was perfect. I took some pictures so hopefully it will help others. I hope I did it right, the fitment is good so I'm thinking I did.

Here is the write up I used...

The Euro holes can be seen pretty easily on the inside, not as easy on the outside.

I installed the bracket on the bumper since I didn't know which one and which direction it would fit.

You can see how the bracket bolts are offset.

hard to see but the longer and smaller bolt goes on top, where I drilled the new hole. The bigger bolt goes in to the existing US bumper hole.

My helpers... Making sure it lines up right.

I removed the brackets from the bumper to mount the brackets to the body.

                  Lines up pretty well.

In case you were wondering... the Zender DB rear valance does not fit on euro bumpers. Darn it.:(:x:tsk:

The snaps behind the rubber trim is pretty warn, I have new ones coming along withe bumper ends/caps. Should fit pretty tight with the new clips and the end trim pieces should clean up the ends.

Beautiful. Look for a Zender rear euro valence like JasonC has on his coupe. Those are hawt! (as are the Alpinas :P)

Also, did you paint your rear plate filler? Mine does not look as black and it kinda irritates me.

Thanks! The filler is new from Mel, I applied armor all on it before install. If yours is dull just paint it, comes right back...

OK last update for the weekend. My fuel gauge was not working. Figured it was the fuel sender, so I remove the seat, remove the cover to replace to sender and what do I find... A little friend was hungry. Quick wire repair and the gauge now works.

And the last pic of the day. Took her out for a quick spin. She is almost there. Hope to get the front valance on along with a few minor things and she should be ready to go for the meet on the 8th.

Thanks again for all the comments and support. I cant take credit as all I did was copy from the people who done it before here on the site.

Oh man, if I didn't have to go to CT I would have been there. Looks great! Damn zender doesn't fit! All that body work too... we will figure something out.
