Alright, so I have an M42 chain tensioner I'd like to install. I've heard one method is to install it, start it up, rev to 3000 rpm, and pray that it expands.
I've also heard that it's possible to "preload" the tensioner by expanding it before installation. This seems like a safer route, but how do I expand it without doing any damage to it?
