Odd Question E28 Rear Shocks

So by chance do the E28 rear Billy sports fit the e30? I know its an odd question but i was picking up my set of style 5s at the ol junk yard and spotted a pair of newish billy sports on an e28. At 9 bucks a shock it would be a cheap solution to my crappy shocks.

I just googled e28 shock and it appears to be a full spring over shock type arrangement (true "coilover"). Where as the e30 is a separate spring and shock arrangement.

So i don't think so?

Yea i figured as much, but i kept reading that alot of e30 parts are used for e28s and figured id ask.
