The reason that I asked about redline is that typically the lack of VSS signal to the ECU is is accompanied by a reduced redline.

I drive a bit juvenile myself

anyways, wired up the VSS signal to the spot on the back of the cluster, reset the light last night and drove to work today. no light so far. last time I reset the light, it was already on. Lets hope this is it and Im good, because my appt with the referee is tomorrow
