    Fs: s3.25 differential

    No noise, an is still in my car, an 83 633csi. Just picked up a 3.46. $200. needs new input shaft seal and both axle seals replaced.

      Hence the s in front of 3.25. Yes limited slip, posi trac, whathaveyou.

        if im not mistaken, i just need to put a medium case back on it and it will fit in my 90 325is, correct?

          You change the cover and output flanges off your E30 diff. 10 min job.

              Once my gasket comes in for the diff the old one will be out.

                It's also not going to have te output flanges. I pulled my new diff from the yard, and didn't sneed the axle flanges.

                  Don't wanna say your wrong on this one, but the rear cover for 82-84 2
                  E28 based cars may have a slightly different rear cover. I've done this on my 85 with an e30 diff, but I will take a pic and see if it matches my e24 diff

                    AFAIK, all medium case E30/E28/late E24 diffs are the same.

                      Yep, my 3.25 bolted right up. Probably just have to switch covers.

                              Well this thread is gonna die real quick. What I thought to be a bad TO bearing, was actually the diff. So to correct myself, makes noise when off throttle in gear. Either that or the fact that most of the mounting points on the diff were loose, and me putting one in and tightening all the bolts down properly may have helped stop excess vibrations from coming into the car. I highly doubt the latter, so is this hunk of metal worth anything?
