Red would be too flashy for me and those valve covers aren't the best looking ones ever, in my opinion.

I could see black wrinkle on all those parts, though...

I vote wrinkle black or gunmetal valve covers and wrinkle red the entire plenums. Too flashy? nah I think not, it's a freaking V12 wagon, go crazy!

Whelp, it's all ready to plop in for now. Timed up, sealed up. Just need to paint the covers. I think I'll just do the covers a gunmetal grey and leave the clean, clean intakes au natural.

It's easier to plop the engine in with the accessories and intake off. Drove the car in today to start taking it apart after work. I'll be lucky to get the trans out/front end off the car tonight, but we'll see.

I'm pretty goddamn nervous. So much money into this thing....hope I got it all right....

I just kinda set the intakes on there for storage/pics....

Ready to go under the knife. 24 cylinders between those two...

Working on getting m73 fuel rails to fit. With this and an e46 fuel filter (integrated regulator at 3.5BAR, m70 is 3.5BAR) I can have ONE fuel line going into the engine bay. Right now it's a feed that's Ts to go to each rail and a return, along with the ridiculous bullshit at the two regulators and under the intake. This will make it much simpler.

All the lifts were full at work, so I didn't get to work on the actual car tonight.

Rails are all mounted, just need to move the injectors over from the other engine.

Fuel line routing will be as such. The orange line is the input from the tank. Red/pink line is where I'll cut, pinch, and TIG the line together so it doesn't leak. Mounting them backwards so all the business is done where the fuel lines come up from under the car. Going to be nice and neat.

These rails are nice too because I can run the vacuum line from the throttles into those extra tubes and they can act as a vacuum manifold. Just had to clearance them a little for the hardware to fit, but it's all good now.

Sunday has been set aside for the heavy work.....

Popped the engine in yesterday. All went okay, but didn't get to my goal to crank it up. Need to make a tool to hold the crank pulley so I can torque the Jesus bolt....M18 stretch bolt....

Decided to go with a grey for the cam covers. I'm happy.
