9 year old Michelins with only 6k miles

So my new to me low mile E30 came with like new Michelin Harmony P195/65R14 tires.

They have a 18 week, 2007 build date.

    They drive and stop fine.

Given the age of the tires, I think I should replace. So options:

Go all season 14" even though I want a summer only tire which do not sem to exist anymore; or

Go bigger. Should I go 15" or bigger

    Comments. Thanks

So my tire guy checked my Michelins and said that for their age they looked good, and while he would not use them everyday or on a long trip, They had no rips, tears, bulges, etc. (they look virtually new, with only 4-5k miles).

He also said he thinks he can get Toyo Summer Sport still in 195/65R14.

Those tires have gone hard and I would not trust them in an emergency situation.

I'd suggest you do what I did: put winter tires on the 14" wheels (I recommend General Altmax Arctic) and buy a set of 16" wheels for summer tires. 16" will make the ride a bit harsher, but selection is much better and not likely to go away.

I got 5 Falkon 195/65/14 all seasons for $330 out the door recently from Discount. I wanted to use the spare rim and they wouldn't touch the tire since the dot markings had it more than 10 yrs. fortunately they had a 5th in stock.

Winter tires? What is winter, he said sarcastically (I live in South Florida).

That said, why 16s instead of 15s??

                Which tires? Any fitment issues?

Never mess with questionable tires! With tires that old at the speeds on the highways today, replace them!
