Holmes the problem is, so far he has accomplished nothing but socializing everything; while you may like it. I am not a fan of government controlled GM, student loans, banks, and health care that is being forced or fined onto me.
This guy spent almost 100 million dollars to win the presidency promising everything and with the congress in his pocket he's done NOTHING to make things better. We will not be out of Afghanistan in two years, we'll be still getting our ass kicked. Iraq is improving but it was improving under BOOOOOSH too.
He needs to lower corporate taxes, which he'll never do and put an import tax on China, which he'll never do.

All corporate taxes, taxes on energy producers, etc, are all passed on to the consumer in the form of higher prices.

No I'm saying, even if Exxon had paid, let's say $10billion in Federal Taxes, Exxon itself would have just added that to the cost of it's product. It would not have let the $10billion come out of it's profit.
Taxes are factored in as part of the "costs" to deliver a product or service. So in effect, all you do by raising taxes on corporations, is raise taxes on the consumer.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

ding ding ding winner to the guy from O.k.
you are aware that XOM and all the other oil outfits pay on the order of 42% on profits right. IIRC it was 2008 when the big 5 oil companies paid a combined 123b in taxes. This is just on profits
Dose not inclued the leases paid to the feds, or the severance taxes on the raw crude as it comes outta the ground, the property taxes on all the pipe line, and well sites, and other production facilities, taxes it has to pay the feds and the states when they ship product through their own pipe lines, or the taxes they pay when the refined product leaves for distribution, Or the FED, state, local taxes we pay at the pump, + the sales tax figured ON TOP of all those taxes.
You tell me who is making the bigger killing from the oil industry and whos paying for the bulk of those taxes, sure as hell is not the big oil its you and me .Originally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.
