Thumbs up APEX | 17" 4-Lug ARC-8 Pre Group-Buy Discussion Thread

Concave 4x100 ARC-8 Group Buy (Pledge Now)  | Original 4x100 ARC-8 Group Buy (Join Feeler Phase)

APEX wheels for the 4-lug E30
APEX wheels for the 4-lug E30 have been out of stock for a while because there hasn't been consistent demand to meet minimum production requirements. While these wheels represent a relatively small market in whats now widely considered a 'classic car' (can you believe it?) we believe enthusiasts deserve a quality product in the size that fit their needs and wants! We propose a group buy to bring back the 17x8"et25 E30 4 lug wheels!

Why?
By voting for and discussing your preferred size and finishes in this thread, we can bring our E30 4 lug wheels back via a discounted Group Buy if we can prove there is enough interest in the community.

Feeler Thread?
We can’t achieve this goal unless we can measure the current communities size, finish preferences, and demands. Based on requests from the community, we’re looking to bring back a 17" 4 Lug E30 fitment wheel. This would be our popular, light weight, strong ARC-8 design that would allow for popular 17" tire sizes.

We're open minded to hear your suggestions! Color production will also be limited to a few colors to make this happen. Since the community is smaller these days, there is unlikely enough demand to make several finishes. Once there’s enough interest we’d make these wheels available via a discounted Group Buy.

Whats the discussion?
Color: Select your top 3 color choices in order of your preference
  • Satin Black (not flat black, just very low gloss)
  • Anthracite (aka "Gun Metal" metallic)
  • Race Silver (Pure silver color, metallic)
  • Other (write in a color choice)
How do I vote?
Please reply with the following input.
If you are unwilling to accept a second or third finish or size then add the text “NONE” to that choice. (keep in mind that only voting for one color means you’re telling us that "you will only buy if that one specific color is produced") It's likely that only one or two colors can be produced unless there is significant demand.

  • #1 color preference
  • #2 color preference
  • #3 color preference
  • Tire fitment you wish to run (most run 235/40-17 or 215/40-17)
  • Comments/concerns/suggestions
Proposed Discount:

These wheels are typically $250 each, so $1000.00 for a set + shipping.

With enough interest from the community, the group can save significantly when the deal opens. Since this would be a pre-order as well, savings are deep, potentially $100-200 off a complete set, plus free domestic shipping, or discounted international shipping.[/INDENT]

Interested for Race Silver or Anthacrite.

Anyone have any pictures of these in 17"s on a vert with the top down?

That would be sweet!
While I'm not sure there is enough demand for this size, we seriously don't want to discourage anyone from expressing ideas like this.

If enough people want something new, it can become real with enough interest.

I would take 3 sets 17x9, finish does not matter.

I would certainly settle for 17x9. I know that 17x10 is pretty much out of the question. I sincerely doubt that there would be enough demand to make bringing them to market feasible.

I would be very interested in 17x10 et15. I would also jump on the 17x9 wagon if enough interest isn't garnered for the 10s.

Wonder what tire size could be run with a 17x9 or 17x10? Not looking for stretch. Just looking for most rubber on the ground.
