What box would we be looking at for S54 E30 setup with Alpha-N? is there an option here for using the CSL air filter?

Just wanted to update this thread with some new pictures that people have sent in showing their installs. The E30 versions of the S50 and S54 airboxes clear the brake boosters and have shorter intake snorkels for E30 application. Both airbox variants also work in E36 and E28 chassis. The new S50 version allows to use an internal air filter just like the S54 version does. With the air filter being internal this allows easier/simpler airbox installation and the airbox is larger in volume as well. In instances with special needs we've also done custom airbox versions. (note: most of these are iphone pics so image quality not so great)
New S50 airbox with internal air filter (similar to s54 airbox) in e30:
longer necked down snorkel (200 mm --> 120 mm)
shorter 200 mm snorkel with modified angle
Traditional type S50 in e30:
S54 in e30:
Some S14 installs:

Hi, in general, as long as you have your engine mapping (stand alone / alpha N or factory ECU) correctly tuned or if you run factory ECU with MAF, then the engine will have proper emissions test results. We have sent airboxes to california and never heard that there were problems.
