    1985 323i m50 nv turbo build

    Basically, I swapped in an m50 into my 1985 323i when the m20 busted the timing chain along with bending two valves. My current goal is to turbo the car as cheaply as possible, I know how that sounds, but im not in great economic conditions. i found an intake mani and im looking for a used t3 turbo, i heard i can run stock internals, as i only want to boost up to around 6 or so psi at most. due to my lack of knowledge in electronic tuning, i would like to avoid megasquirts, vems, etc. is this possible?

              You broke the timing chain on an m20? Hmmmmmmmmmm.

              You can get a chip tune or use a miller maf so you dont have to build an ecu. Why did you get an new intake manifold? You need a turbo exhaust manifold,

              Also, cheap and turbocharging dont go together. Most turbo builds you can price out all the parts and multiply it by 1.5 minimum if your doing all the work yourself, more if its your first one.
