    E30 M52 swap

    Hi,

I just installed a M52 motor and I'm in need a part number for the correct radiator.
The ones i have now is for a 87 e30 the outlets are in the wrong place.
This is a chump car build so id rather use a factory or cheeper aftermarket.

          Engine wire harness

Can any one tell me what these wires are for?
we hooked up harness and engine fired right up but i do not know what they are for. The harness we used is from an automatic (we are running a stick)and ecu was flashed.
Wires: one all light brown and light brown with red stripe
          Thanks

                    E30 M52 swap

How come no one says anything about that you can only use the 4 large bell housing bolts? or is because we are using E30 manual trans? also (the 3 or 4 smaller bolt holes do not line up) also no talks about the trimming the trans tunnel so shifter does not bind on existing exit hole. (our shifter bracket is stock stamped type)
Our cure for intake to booster clearance is to dress intake fins and add small shims to drive side engine mount. ( and yes we moved booster over)

^ I said this in my thread and have seen it in many more about the tranny bolts. Although not sure why your shifter doesnt clear unless you didnt account for the fact that the g260 will be clocked 10 degrees over vs when its on an m20, which is also covered in great detail in a million places.

The tranny bolts is a known subject, and yes it is because you are using an e30 trans.
What do you mean by the shifter binds? Did you bend the selector rod about 10 degrees?

No shifter does not bind when shifting. when we rotated trans (apron 10 deg) lower part of shifter where ball and socket is hit body trans tunnel. No i have not bent rod yet. Will do.
                          Thanks for the info
I found this picture on the web
Am i right by saying this is not the correct clocking of rod? for the swap application?

You'll also need to cut and redo the shifter arm as well.
