    WTB: 2nd half of driveshaft

    WTB: 2nd half of driveshaft

    So I have a 89 325i
Pretty sure the 2nd half of the driveshaft went bad(u joint). So looking for a good used one. Have PayPal or cash in hand ready to buy. Getting a vibration/drone at 40mph after putting in my diff. Started making this noise after the 2nd test drive.

    List Date: 1/17/2017

And the 2nd part can fit both an auto and manual right?

All rear halves are the same and won't need balancing. Just make sure the universals are lined up properly, like this pic...

Note the orientation of the universal joints.

The pic isn't like mine. I have universal in front of CB and on one at the diff.

It's a generic pic. The orientation of the universals is all I was referring to. That's actually a pic of an e36 drive shaft, lol. If you put your last 7 number of your vin in realoem, you will see the same generic pic.

Seeing all chassis have the CSB location in the same spot (just have early and late model CSB's, one is wider than the other), the rear halves are all identical. I have a stack of them here at my shop, I save all the good rear halves just for this very reason (318, 325i, 325e, all have the same exact rear).

Only reason I was mentioning it is so you don't get a rear half (from me or elsewhere) and expect to line up the white dots. The universal orientation and CSB is all the matters.

Borrowed pic from Google to show you what I mean...
