SLOVED!!! ANY Ideas?? Spark / Ignition Cutting out

    installed new ICV and no issues or cutout!

    I autopsied the old ICV and found burned marks and pits on the commutator where the brushes ride.

      theory: pitting on commutator, created high resistance in circuit, causing voltage to drop at DME causing cutout and stall condition.

        Burn marks? Looks more like wear marks from those pictures. Looks like copper, so it shouldn't hurt conductivity though. Perhaps the problem itself lies in whatever was causing those wear marks.

          Yeah that's nuts! I didn't bother taking mine apart... went straight to the trash!! lol But i imagine that the inside of mine would have looked very similar!

          Wonder if we are the first ones to experience this problem and fix with this solution?? I've not seen any other mention of replacing the ICV solving this. Mostly just CPS and cleaning grounds.

          I'm beyond happy that both of our cars are fixed though! I've been driving mine for 2.5 weeks now with out a single problem!!!!
