SOLD!!!
Up for sale is my 1991 318i convertible, Alpine white on tan uberkaro (plaid) cloth. The car shows 173k on a functioning odometer and I have no reason to believe that it is not the actual mileage on the vehicle.
I purchased the car in December 2013, and quite admittedly, it was a bit of a basket case, barely making the 30 mile drive back home. I had every intention of keepng this car for a long time, until my former S50 swapped 318is was listed for sale. Needless to say, I had to have that one back, and unfortunately the vert has to go.
During my ownership, I have done quite a bit of work to the car, to get it running properly again. What was thought to be simply replacing 25 year old vacuum hoses turned into replacing just about everything that didn't require taking the motor apart (more details below). As it currently stands, it runs and drives great. The uberkaro interior was what really sold me on the car, I am a sucker for weird and uncommon interiors. Overall, the interior is in great condition, the only downfall really being the carpet which has a few stains.
When I purchased the car, the top was absolutely mangled. The rear window was destroyed and someone patched the holes in it with Plasti-dip...seriously. The top was replaced with a good condition used top and frame from a local 'vert being parted out. The body of the car is in OK condition, it looks great from 5 feet away. There are a few areas that have rust as well. The door sills each have a spot about the size of a quarter and also the battery tray in the engine bay. The paint is decent. There are some paint chips on the hood and the paint could stand to be buffed to remove swirls.
Now for some additional details,
