    keys locked in trunk....

Long story short, my friend locked my keys in my trunk. No power locks, no remote access, nothing. First locksmith couldn't do anything, now we're waiting for another one. Any tips would be appreciated

Have them unlock the cabin. Pop off the rear seat back and punch out the metal cutout for the ski pass. Reach through and grab the keys.

If you have any e30 friends im sure one of there keys will work. If not try what accident said.

        Remove rear window.
        Climb inside.
        Remove seat.
        Punch out cutout.
        Grab keys.
        Put seat back in.
        Put window back in.

^this. easier then breaking through you tail light. Pop the window seal lock strip with a flat head. Then the back glass should be easily removable. Just fold back the rubber seal disconnect the heater lines & your in. Remove rear bench seat, take out the bolts that hold the top bench & kick in the ski pass.

Luke box, plus luggage means those ideas won't work. Ended up drilling the lock out. Looking for a new lock and new friends

I think I would rather take out a tail light to get the keys than my trunk lock

And that Lukebox was a pretty recent addition, wasn't it? Shitty timing!

So I know what not to do... how did this happen without power locks? I guess you can "lock"it while it's open and then close it?

                            Maybe it was dead locked?

Call the dealer, they keep key cut outs by VIN, in an emergency they can request the key to be cut locally instead of in Germany.
