The original Bosch plugs are fine, but they are NLA and their replacement doesn't work as well (dyno proved). QUOTE]

You must be referring to the w8lc+, correct? The oe's used to be w8lcr, correct?

has anyone ever seen NGK ZGR6A plugs? i'm thinking these might be slightly better than BPR6ES due to the slightly longer projection.

the Bosch equivalent would be WR7LC not a huge fan of bosch though...

its worth noting that the BPR6ES that everyone loves has a shorter projection than what BMW recommends, i'm guessing they wanted the electrode to be closer to the middle of the combustion chamber from a efficiency point of view

got told by local parts that ZGR6A dont come up.

they do have ZFR6A-11 which would be the same except for
1 - smaller hex socket is required 5/8", insulator is a little small as a result so some boots may not fit as tight
2 - regapped from 1.1mm to whatever you want
        3 - v-groove centre electrode (same as ZGR5A have)
4 - the end doesn't screw off so wont fit OEM wires that fit onto the small thread piece.

none of these seem to be show stoppers for me, (4) will be for many

I'm running the ZGR5As, and have been since the third month I had my E30. No problems.

I have OEM wires, again no issues and they work great.

When I changed my cap and rotor, my parts place gets the Bremi ones in, and I liked how it fit better than my old one (not sure which make it was). No issues with those either.
