SOLD
Offered for sale is my 1988 BMW E30 320i Touring. This is the car that turned me into an enthusiast. Purchased from the original owner and imported from Germany to Canada in 2003 by the second owner, I'm the third owner. This car has been “lady driven” by me for the last 3 years. It’s an absolute joy to cruise around in, and it turns heads everywhere I go – the touring is a total guy magnet. ;D
I’ve been working on the car with the intention of keeping it long term and never thought I would sell it. The only reason I’m selling it now is that a once in a lifetime opportunity is forcing this sale. The E30 touring is my favourite car, and this is a great example of one. I’d love to see this touring go to someone who will love it as much as I do.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Left hand drive slicktop
- Lachssilber Metallic over Anthrazit cloth interior
- M20B20 motor with a 5 speed manual transmission
- ~ 125,000 miles
- 15” basketweave BBS wheels with high performance tires
- Full English service history since 2003
- Full synthetic oil changes only
Here are the negatives with the car:
- The dash had a 1” crack which was stop-drilled and filled to prevent spread – I have a replacement dash which could be included with the car
- The front passenger side door had surface rust along the lower inner edge which has been cleaned up and treated – I bought a replacement door before I realized how minor the problem was, which could be included with the car
- The car did not come with factory-installed air conditioning
- The paint on the car is largely original and there is some touch up and evidence of aging up close
- It was almost murdered by a tree, though the minor damage has now been repaired
The previous owner made several improvements to the car:
- Custom Magnaflow full stainless exhaust system including resonator and high performance catalytic converter
- New headliner
- New front wheel bearings
- Refreshed cooling system including new Mishimoto radiator and Stewart water pump
- S & S lowering springs on all four corners
- Aftermarket keyless entry and alarm system
- Aftermarket sound system with amplifier, CD changer, and Clarion head unit
I’ve done a lot of work on this car with my partner, most of which is detailed in my project thread, including:
- New front fenders with near perfectly matched paint
- No dents or dings after thorough paintless dent repair
- Completely rust free floors and door sills
- Full floor Dynamat installation
- New heater core and rebuilt heater valve
- Repaired S.I. board with remote battery installation
- Refreshed original side skirts and trim
- Map light rear view mirror retrofit
- 325is sun visor retrofit
- 325is hood liner
- New battery
- All new brake pads and rotors
- Fresh tune up and valve adjustment
- Refinished valve cover & new valve cover gasket
- New BMW roundels
- Various interior trim pieces replaced
- New front wiper blades & new rear wiper blade and arm
- New all-weather floor mats
My asking price is $11,500 USD.
This car is in Ontario, Canada, and will require importation into the United States and shipping if you aren't inclined or able to drive it home. My partner has been through the process of exporting a car before, and we will help you through it every step of the way. It’s pretty straightforward for cars over 25 years old like this one.
If you're looking to drive the car home, I wouldn’t hesitate to do so as the car is in excellent condition.
This is a special car that I know will make the next owner very happy.
Thanks for looking! :)
