Interesting finds in the glovebox/trunk

I've been working in the auto repair business for about 2 years now, and every so often (depending on the job) I have to open the glovebox or go through the trunk. The other day I found a pretty sizeable bag of weed and a bottle of ecstacy in some guy's glovebox. I have also found a 9mm handgun, a dildo, a box containing many rolls of $100 bills, a bag full of women's underwear, and a security camera (mounted inside the trunk).

Has anyone else found weird or illegal things in there? I know you detail and valet guys have found some funny things too.

God damn man, that is the weirdest list of shit I have ever heard! But then again I guess people just put whatever in the glove box.

When I bought my car, I found an expired parking ticket under the backseat, as well as about $20 in change. :)


Once, I swapped diffs from a guys car to mine. Under his trunk mat, I found various porn magazines. :?

There was an unused condom and a bunch of other stuff in my car when I bought it. It was such a mess. he had the trunk full too the top with crap. It took 3 boxes and an laundry hamper to empty all of his crap out. Even then I had some major clean up to do.

Lol, i work at the local BMW dealer, washin the cars on Saturday

we found a nickel-plated Hand-gun under the seat....... quite a bit scary

When I pulled my stock seats out to replace them with the sports, I found about $10 in quarters. Not a bunch of random change, just quarters. Weird.

Also, when Jordan and I were tearing apart the last of my car, we found several sticks of gum under the battery in the trunk. Also weird.

I found a small bag of weed in the spare tire well right after I got my car. I also found a bag of bullets under the back seat of a rental van that we got.

I'd say you topped us all Fred.....those are some pretty choice finds. About the only "interesting" items I found in a glovebox was a small zip-lock style baggie with a razor blade in it and a little white, powdery residue on it. This was discovered in a '79 Porsche 924 I bought years ago locally.

I guess the previous owner was into "snow skiing" during lunch hour

Its not my story but:

An old member on ben that I havent heard from was workign on a center console, when he went to unscrwe the bottom he dislodged a small glass 1 hitter.

He bought the car from an old man (70+), and the old man was the only owner and his kids have long been gone. :shock:

My friend here found a receipt for the car he bought for the original owner, a hector. He also found 2 polaroids. one of hector standing next ot a fireplace, the other of hector in a "different" outfit holding a AK47 with a 40rd magazine. :shock: Ive seen the pics, hector doesnt look that happy.

I have a good valet story.

I wasn't working in valet but i was talkin to one of my valet buddies while it happened.

Story:

I was talkin to my buddy, who was on break on a saturday evening (busy!). It was so busy that a valet supervisor was jockey-ing cars.

The sup. jumps into a caddy Deville DTS, while another valet runner hops into a Lexus LS430 next to the caddy, but slightly behind the caddy, and faced the other way.

When the valet runner realized the guest didn't leave the keys, he opened to door to get out, only to see a DTS slip right on by, completely ripping off the door from the Lexus.

I almost shit my pants right there. It was surreal. I could not believe it. It was funny, but not funny at the same time. I wish i was carrying my digital...

The irony really kicked in when i got back on the casino floor and heard over the PA:

"Will the owner of a White Lexus, license plate xxxxxx, please return to valet immediately"

If it was me and they said we have a slight situation with your car, i'd say "I don't even want to see it. Fix it, find a way to get me home and to work and back until it's fixed, but DON'T let me see that car."

How do you explain that one....
