    Need help on a reset...

    Need to reset maint/oil light...anyone have the tool for this?

    Mines in the mail from TMS ...next week LOL
    The 9mm is a .45 set on stun.:mrgreen:

    You can jump terminals on the diag connector.

      PS.
      I have the reset tool and the GT1/SSS so I never do this but I think you can
      ground pin #7 for 7-9 sec. and this will reset the oil change and if you hold it
      to ground for 15sec. it will reset the service light...

        What year is your car? That is a lil on the important side before you go attempting to ground out pins.

        I have the tools too, but I dont even know you. lol

          aight ill have to call that place...as soon as I can get the car out...3 hours of digging to clear a 10x10 path...and open diff still sucks. At this point I miss my 240 with its cusco 2way.

            go here for short story:
            A 1993 325ic should be an E36, but the procedure is similar on most BMWs. With the ignition off, put a wire between pins 7 and 19. Turn the ignition to position 2, 'run.' (Do not start the engine.) After just a couple seconds, remove the jumper wire. (If you wait eight to ten seconds, it will do an

            Moral of the story, DO IT YOURSELF - RETURN THE TOOL :) :)

              I fabbed a horseshoe shaped piece of 12ga romex strand [solid copper wire] which works quite effectively :)

                  WTF, this is usually a 15 second fix, get it done!

                  I like to use a cheap pushbuton switch, which I also use to bump the cam over for adjusting the valves.
