Meh, I really don't know. I just want it to come out right. It was my first time using a dremel and molding supplies. So we will see.

WOW !! Did you have to much MSG tonight in your Chinese food? Because it looks like you fell asleep and poured a gallon of body filler on it.

Good luck though and waiting for final version before judging...

Holy shit. Have fun sanding all that down. If not fiberglass, just a healthy amount of epoxy where ever they bond together with just enough filler to smooth it out would have been fine :)

The only other thing I can see with that, or using any sort of filler or glue on an outside surface and trying to make it pass as seamless, is just that the plastic has sort of a texture to it, whereas when you sand it down, it's going to be perfectly smooth. May not be entirely obvious right away though at a glance.

Yeah, it would. And if you can't spread bondo evenly, you'd have more trouble with fiberglass :) Even so, if you for whatever reason did fiberglass on the outside, you would need to cover up the roughness with some filler anyway. Just less filler and some really good epoxy could have been easier.

So what do you plan on using for a finish?

Are you going to wrap that in vinyl or paint it or what?

Ha ha, I don't play! I went to NAPA and saw they had fiberglass. :( Should have used that, would have weighed less. Whatever, there is a first time for everything. If anything I'll give this one to my friends, take his center console and make another one (with fiberglass) if it comes out good.

Don't know how I am going to finish it yet, doing it little by little. Hoping this comes out good. I am going to the Pembroke meet they have on Thursday (e46fanatics). Anyone going? Feel like meeting some people who care about their BMWs, not just those sleezy Hialeah women.

LOL. I see. I have a spare tub of that stuff when I was finishing the sub enclosure and speaker pods. I would have given it to you to play with. Post it up on the Miami thread. They slack but will eventually have a meet. Usually when your car is down or not driveable in my case. I hear you on the Hialeah CHONGAS. They make me laugh tho.

Yeah, I saw some CF console it looks good if done right. Where can I get the material for that? I am going to do black for now but I am sure I can put some CF for later. :D
