Who is running the TMS coolant sensor adaptar?

I have that installed on my car ATM and my temp gauge on the cluster isn't working, i am sure i have the wires right but again I could be wrong, does anyone here run this?

If so, can someone please give me the wire colors (m/s50 wiring harness) that connects to the long and short wire of the adapter?

    thanks,

    -Abe.

yeah, s52. I decided to go with the TMS adapter instead of tapping my head. Thought it would be easier that way?

But the instructions aren't really to clear or to me they aren't..

The instructions aren't clear that that doesn't work on an e30.

            QFT.

Instead of tapping the head to get the E30 gauge temp sensor into my M52, I instead removed the coolant hose that goes to the throttle body, and used that hole in the head for the sensor. I had to tap the sensor to fit, but that was simple to do.

i don't think that adapter will work with the e30 temp gauge. the s52 temp sensor in the head isn't compatible with the temp gauge in the e30 cluster, which is why people tap the head and use an m20 temp sensor in the second port for the cluster gauge.

this is only for if your wiring it yourself correct? opposed to taking the easy way out like a treehouse adaptor.

Nope, you will have the same issue if you are swapping an M52 or S52.

Yeah, i'm guessing because the e30 temp sensor runs on a different type of resistance than the e36 one does? Is this correct matt?

                          Yeah, different resistance values.

If you are worried about tapping the head or re-threading a coolant temp sensor, this swap is not for you.

Dude is just going to drift it into a tree/curb/truck, so it really is academic.
