So I'm in the process of replacing the oil pan and gasket on my car. Its a completely stock 90' vert. What oil should I use? I live in CA, pretty much hot all summer. Synthetic or non? And is there a preference on oil filter too? Might as well change that out to. Thanks!

What's the mileage on your car and is there any other known engine oil leaks? I used to run syn oil in my car but now its approaching 200K miles and stuff like Mobile 1 just winds up on the driveway. For dino-based oil I use Castrol GTX 20W50. It works - it's cheap - 'nuff said.

just stay with mineral oil and keep up the changes. 20w/50 is fine, its what they reccomend and its what we all run down here, otherwise, 15w/40 if you want something a little thinner for cold starts.Just a little project im working on
