    Temp Sender Manifold (OBDII to OBDI)
    Our Temp Sender Manifold, a single piece machined from billet aluminum, allows the M50/S50 OBDI dash gage temperature sender to be used with an OBDII engine. This item is installed in the small coolant supply line that runs from the cylinder head to the throttle body. No more need to drill and tap the cylinder head when performing an OBDI Conversion!
    Installation is simple. Just cut the hose and insert the Temp Sender Manifold. Secure it with a hose clamp on either side (available above). Install your temperature sender and plug it in. That's it.

    i don't see why not!

    What I did, instead of drilling an extra hole i just took out and deleted my throttle body cooling and dyed the e30 temp sensor to make it fit in there, i think this is the most simple and cheapest way to do it if you don't want to drill into your head.

        its ugly but would work if you don't want to drill and tap the head

          OR! use something like this. Small. Elegant. One less little clamp and coolant hose to deal with. I like it. I'm doing it!

              wrong. that adapter is only for e36 cars. it won't work for e30 swaps since the sensor that is used for the e30 cluster temp gauge is different than the sensor for the ecu.
              looking at their product description, they claim it will work with e30 swaps. i don't see how it would because the temp sensors in the head are completely different between the e36 and e30.

                    Uhm, no. It runs around the throttle body.

                    That splitter from Turner would work (meaning it will run), but the Cluster Temp would be off as the voltage from the obd2 sensor does not match that of the e30 cluster. You have to implement an e30 temp sensor to get it to read correctly.

                    The one listed in the OP if used with an e30 coolant temp sensor, will work fine.

                        waste of money, just run a dye over the e30 sensor, and delete the coolant line to the throttle body like Abe mentioned.

                            i have the zion thingy... it works. IMHO its the best solution. just remember to ground it.
