IE Poly Engine and Tranny Mounts

OK I'm gonna order both sets for the M42 from IE and was wondering who else makes poly bushings for motor and tranny. I've checked turner and pelican and they both dont have any.

35 each for trannys = $70
49 each for motor = $99
(taken from IE's website)

169 total. I already have poly rear subframe and trailing arm bushings. Need steering and rear diff next

Forget IE, you'll get some sub par parts. Don't do it to yourself. I have plenty of urethane from them, and there's a reason I'm changing things over every time I can.

Nope. Not a single one of those sites offer ANY engine mounts rubber or poly. Guess IE gets my business

I have the Poly E36 M42 mounts from IE and so far so good!

Time will tell however.

Why do you want them? Is this an autocross or track car?

If it is a daily driver, then you need to be prepared for a lot more noise. The hard bushing help a bit with shifter feel and will keep the fan from hitting the radiator hose (on 6 cylinder's), but they don't really help much with performance beyond that.

Noise doesn't bother me in a 20 year old car :) i expect everything to make noise. I am replacing it on my DD with poly because it offers less flex than rubber and will last longer. I will loose less HP in my driveline because it has less chance to move under torque. I've driven an E30 with all metal bushings and it was noisy but it felt tight like a 4 year old. At the moment i have 2 bad tranny mounts and 1 sagging motor mount.

I am fully aware that when you replace a stock part with a high performance part there will be +/-, honestly between less money and more hp who would buy the $120 M42 stock liquid filled mounts

Nope from what i've found no one except IE (who has just started carrying M42 parts). flyingbrick has nothing to offer for 4 bangers, IE barely does, most e30s are M20 so us lil DOHCers have alot less to choose from. I believe polyurathane is polyurathane and probably all is made in the same place.

Jeff@IE told me that the M42 poly bushing is just like the M3 mount except the stud is slighty different offset

Ya tranny mounts for E30's seem to be universal since its a sliding crossmember design. I was mostly after better engine mounts and i didnt want to mod 6 series rubber bushings id rather have something thats direct fit.
