Images of IX sideskirts and flares on a Vert?

Wondering if it has been done? Anyone have some pics?

Just sitting here looking through a shitload of threads... Daydreaming lol.

And yes I know they would need modifying.

iX sideskirts won't work on a vert. The rockers on a vert are much taller than a standard E30, you'd be able to see them under the iX skirts.

sides for a vert are a pain in the ass. i was going to do zender2 and just modify them, but then the year/arches weren't matched to that would have been too much. I finally settled on mtech2 sides off a vert that got parted out.
Still need to install em though.

I did this crappy photoshop because I was wondering what it would look like myself.

            Here's the original:
I can't remember who the car belongs to but it looks great. The Reiger lip matches the ix flares perfectly.

sux the rockers are so big on our cars. The IX would look good except that they wouldn`t cover the rockers.

Here's the issue with the vert rockers...

I modded some mtech II reps from Eurostyle for my car.

I volunteer to experiment with this! I already have a coupe fender and touring sunvisors, may as well have this, especially since I plan on having a coupe trunk too. Been waiting to find a cheap set, preferably local so I dont have to pay for shipping. I already have a set of FOHA coupe side skirts that look like I could get them to work, and just like with the ix kit, if they dont work out I can easily sell them for equal price

This would look good, but it certainly would have to be a custom installation..looks great in that photoshop

Just letting everyone know that I finally got a set of IX flares/skirts. I test fitted them as shown in figure D (which is also how it should be in the photochopped pic above) The flares fit perfectly. And if I buy a certain type of clip, I wont have to drill (theres a special area where the lip of the skirt and the lip of the fender meet. Youre supposed to use some kind of 3m adhesive tape, but I dont trust it. Especially since Ive seen local children stand on complete strangers kits, and the parents just standing next to them, without doing anything about it. So I will use both for extra protection, and to prevent rust, which this kit came with a lot (kit is plastic, but parts of the car came with it)

I will however need to cut each piece. You see the bottom sides are too long, and push the pieces upward. (Basically the Right Fig C) I guess on a non cabrio, they would just got under the vehicle and be fine. So there is some slight modification required. My vehicle is lowered, and about 2-3 inches off the ground. With the kit installed, I really dont think the extra at the bottom will be very noticeable, unless youre the poor sap that gets run over, and to that I say, WTF were you doing lying in the middle of the street?!? :)

Well, to revive a dead thread. I'm half way done with this exact project. It only took an hour or so to trim everything for the driver side. I'll have to make a few brackets.

And as for the visible rockers, they are only visible if you lay down on the ground...On my car anyway. I am usually looking at my car from a standing position. Mine's schwartz though, which helps. Pics comin' when done...

in to see results. Ive been wanting to try this for years. I even was going to buy a set and hand mounted it up and I just couldnt see it working with out the chance of messing up my current bodywork.
